We are committed to expanding our services within the community by providing assistance & outreach services to seniors.

Under the guidance of our outreach worker we offer the following services:

Assistance and guidance in applying for and filling out    senior benefit forms.

Referrals to other organizations for service.

Heath and wellness information sessions.

Home help referrals for yard maintenance and snow removal.

Friendly visits - we have an outreach worker who will meet with and visit seniors who are living alone in our community.  We also have friendly phone calls available from outreach volunteers.

Referrals to legal resource.

Advocate on behalf of seniors who need service.

Community presentations to housing complexes, doctors, or hospitals to let people know about the Westend Seniors Outreach program.

- Isolated and lonely?
- Depressed?
- In need of emotional support?
- Having trouble making ends meet?
- Needing assistance meeting nutritional requirements?
- Physically, emotionally or financially abused?

- Seniors 55 and over
- Frail or isolated
- Families of seniors in need of support

- A friendly telephone call or a visit in your home
- A chance to talk to the Social Worker about your health & well being.
- Referrals to senior services.
- Information about programs & services that may benefit you.

- Driving & Hauling (shopping, appointments, cleanup, etc.)
- Home Maintenance (repairs, windows, doors, painting, decorating)
- Yardwork (snow removal, spring clean up, gardening, lawn maintenance)
- Mobile Hairdresser                                                 
- Housekeeping & House Sitting
- Electrical & Plumbing Repairs
- Carpet & Rug Cleaning
- Delivery of Pet Supplies & Grocery Pick Up Service

Many of our members rely on the Outreach Program’s Home Help Registry for help with activities and chores around their homes.  However, due to the large amount of requests we get each week for things like snow shoveling and house cleaning we are not always able to provide a worker to complete your jobs.

If you or anybody you know would like to top up the old wallet or purse
by doing good deeds for your neighbors, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Circle Of Friends
Every Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
This support group provides time for members and non-members in our community to meet new people,
provide opportunities to learn new things,
and to feel connected to their community.
